Brick Work: Brick by Brick Landscaping
Our usual procedure with a new client and a new build is to work through the design process over the winter so that we are ready to schedule the install come springtime.
With this project, we had the chance to test our design skills in the moment, as our client approached us while the house was still under construction in the spring. To say that we are pleased with how this yard turned out would be an understatement.
This yard is a point of pride in our portfolio and speaks to our ability to adapt to changing site conditions, client input and ideas, and available skilled trades.
Over the summer season, we roughly shaped our design, with the installation wrapping up before the snow hit the ground.
Brick by Brick did a fantastic job working with a larger slab paver, which ended up being a fun real-life puzzle to assemble. We also kept the client's favourite Russian Olive tree in the front yard and built the design aesthetic around it.
We love working in a neighbourhood where there is regular foot traffic and people stop to comment on our build as we progress through the season. We received such great feedback from the community on this project and, of course, have a very happy client who was able to work shoulder to shoulder with us on the design and shaping of their space.
