Varsity View Hardscape Elements

Location: Saskatoon, SK

The build of this yard comes with an important lesson for all new builds in our beautiful city. Follow the drainage plan provided by the drainage inspector. Originally this yard had a pre-poured concrete walkway coming from the garage out into the backyard where it would meet up with the deck. When we came in to start our landscaping we shot the levels in the yard and unfortunately the concrete walkway was poured too high and essentially created a dam that trapped water in the backyard. It is tough when these situations happen but our clients were super understanding and agreeable to removing the existing walkway. Removing the walkway also allowed us to tie a new pathway into the patio work that Brick by Brick was installing. In the end it came together seamlessly. The two full brick patios connected by a matching walkway are so beautiful the clients were happy to be rid of the concrete pathway that had come with their new build. Now let's talk about this stunning fence and deck by Black Crow Carpentry. Brandon put so much time and care into its construction as well as the special weather proofing treatment applied at the end. The fence brings the clients both privacy and a beautiful backdrop to their street facing yard.
